BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU ATHLETE & REFEREE
A black belt since 2013 and first degree black belt since 2016, Rio de Janeiro native Fabricio Martins is an internationally-ranked Jiu-jitsu fighter, coach and IBJJF-certified referee.
A lawyer by trade, Fabricio's love of Jiu-jitsu has taken him around the world, from spending a year training over 3000 members of the UAE army, to being the first black belt to bring Jiu-jitsu to Jamaica.
Trained under master André Bastos of the Nova União club, Fabricio has won many titles at the international level and worked as a guest trainer in Brazil, Peru, France, Switzerland, Croatia, Portugal and Jamaica.
Known affectionately by his students as 'Spy', Fabricio is a passionate coach, with extensive experience introducing the sport to children and beginners, as well as working with adults of all experience levels.
Fabricio is an accredited referee for the IBJJF, UAEJJF, CBJJ, SJJSAF, FJJB, in addition to many minor confederations.
